WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
The applications are invited from eligible candidates, on the prescribed application form, for the following
posts to be filled in through Walk-in-Interview, purely on temporary basis for the Academic Session 2011-12 or till the regular posts are filled in through proper selection, whichever is earlier in each of the Constituent Colleges  (i) Sikhwala, Distt. Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab (ii) Nihalsinghwala, Distt. Moga, Punjab (iii) Balachaur, Distt. Nawanshehar, Punjab (iv) *Guru Har Sahai, Distt. Ferozepur, Punjab (*subject to the approval of the Punjab Govt./UGC).
The interview will be held in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office on the date and time indicated against each:
  • Principal -01 Post 
    • Date of Interview : 04/07/2011 at 9.00 am onwards
    • Qualification: A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized University, A Ph.D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance, Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education, A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic performance Indicator (API) based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per proforma attached.
  • Assistant Professor - 13 Posts 
    •  Interview Date: 05-07-2011 to 06/07/2011 at 9.00 a.m onwards 
    • Discipline: Political Science, Commerce, Hindi, English, History, Physical Education, Computer Science, Sociology, Punjabi, Mathematics 
    •  Qualification: Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Physically & Visually Handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s degree level in Political Science from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University, Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR.

Application form can be had either from Form Counter, Panjab University, Chandigarh, on payment of Rs. 375/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST Category) or the candidates may download application form from the Website, and submit along with the crossed A/c Payee Bank Draft of Rs. 375/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST Category) payable at Chandigarh in favour of the Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh. and The candidates may bring Application form, duly filled in (9 photo-stat copies) with original and attested copies of certificates and for the post of Principal, 9 copies of Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) Proforma (available on University website) is also required.
