INDIAN AIR FORCE 
RECRUITMENT RALLY FOR GROUP ‘Y’ {EXCEPT AUTO TECH, GTI, IAF (P) AND MUSICIAN} TRADES AND GROUP ‘X’ (TECHNICAL) TRADES AT AIR FORCE STATION, TAMBARAM (TAMIL NADU) FROM 18 JULY 2011 TO 23 JULY 2011.
Indian Air Force offers opportunities for unmarried male Indian citizens from the designated districts of State of Tamil Nadu and UT of Puducherry to become an airman. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Technician, Ground Training Instructor, Indian Air Force (Police) and Musician} trades and Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades will be held at Air Force Station, Tambaram (Tamil Nadu) from 18 July 2011 to 23 July 2011 as per the Selection Programme given below.
  • Educational Qualification: 
    • (a)For Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, GTI, IAF (P) and Musician} Trades. Passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and pass in each subject (OR) 03 years Diploma in any stream of Engineering from a Government recognised Polytechnic/Institute shall be permitted to appear for Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, GTI, IAF (P) and Musician} trades in IAF. 
    • (b)For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Candidate should have passed Intermediate(or) 10+2 with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks inoverall aggregate.(or)Should have passed a 3 year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Institute.
  • Age Limit:Candidate should be born between 01 July 1990 and 30 September 1994 (both days inclusive).
PAY & ALLOWANCES. During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-pm will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Dearness Allowance (DA), for Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, GTI, IAF (P) and Musician} trades will be Rs. 16,213/-pm (approximately) and for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades will be Rs. 18,383/-pm (approximately), which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 31,233/-pm for Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, GTI, IAF (P) and Musician} trades and
Rs. 33,403/-pm (approximately) for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades as per sixth pay commission depending upon the rank attained. Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Fly/PJI allowance, Family planning allowance, HRA etc are also admissible to airmen.
