State Bank of India is seeking qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Chief Economist (CE) on a contract basis at its Corporate Centre at Mumbai.
  • Chief Economist (CE)
    • Job Profile : The CE will be responsible for leading a team at Economic Research Department (ERD), Corporate Centre, Mumbai and will be providing strategic inputs to the top management of the Bank. He will also be required to analyze and evaluate national and international economic and financial indicators and assess their impact on various markets and asset classes.
    •  Qualification : Minimum Post Graduate in Economics with specialization in monetary/financial economics or econometrics from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute. Preference will be given to candidates with doctorate degree in areas of money / banking / international finance. 
    • Experience: Candidates should have high level of skills in quantitative techniques and thorough knowledge of financial sector/financial market/Indian and global economies with minimum 15 years work experience as an Economist in a Commercial Bank, Financial Institution or other reputed corporate organization (India / Overseas). 
    • Remuneration : The remuneration will be Rs.60.00 lacs per annum on a CTC basis 
    • Age Limit : Maximum 50 years
